Powergrid recruitment 2021 for engineers is currently underway at the Northern II region of the Powergrid Corporation of India Limited, which is constituted by Jammu and Kashmir, Ladakh, Chandigarh, Punjab, Himachal Pradesh, and part of Haryana. There are 26 new Diploma Trainee vacancies wherein selected candidates will initially be engaged and paid Rs 27,500 per month, after which they may be placed as Junior Engineer Grade IV at S1 level in Supervisory category on the pay scale of 25,000 to 1,17,500.


Who Can Apply for Powergrid Recruitment 2021?

The latest Powergrid recruitment notification says that there are a total of 26 Diploma Trainee vacancies for which candidates with a full time regular three years diploma from a recognized technical board or institute with a minimum of 70% marks for UR, OBC(NCL) or EWS and pass marks for SC and PwD and Ex-SM candidates from the following streams of engineering can apply:

Candidates with higher technical qualification like BTech, BE, MTech or ME with or without diplomas are not eligible to apply. Applicants will be selected for the posts based on their performance in the written or computer-based test.

How to Apply for Powergrid Recruitment 2021?

Interested and eligible candidates will have to submit online applications on the official Powergrid website before 18 September 2021. Apart from SC, ST, PwD, Ex-SM, DEx-SM and departmental candidates, all other applicants will have to pay a non-refundable online application fee of Rs 300. Applicants are advised to take a print out of the submitted online application and note down the user ID and password generated at the time of online registration. Those who wish to apply are advised to go through the official notification in detail prior to submitting applications.
